I'm looking forward to Saturday 6th Julty. I am attending a Ladies Day at Thorpe St Andrew School (11 - 1) in aid of the Quidenham Children's Hospice.
I'm taking lots of my handmade greetings cards, along with all sorts of other goodies
Should also have some work inspired by my time in Scotland.

I've been in Scotland for the last 10 days. Had a good time doing all sorts of things - lots going on at the HIghland Show and plenty of meals out - gym here I come!
Inspiring scenery, such large open spaces as well as tall mountains. This is one of my favourite photos.
While I was away I had time to think about teaching textiles and mixed media. I have had many requests for tutoring and workshops and will post details shortly.

I can't believe how long it has been since I made an entry.
I'm still working with photographs but have developed a new approach. More to follow soon - I promise!
Journaling has been an important part of my life over the last few years, and am keen to encourage others to dip their toes in and give it a try.

This piece has not been made into anything yet. It is one of my photographs printed onto t-shirt paper and ironed on to cotton fabric.
This was then embroidered by hand and machine using a variety of threads.

I recently had a commission to make a clutch bag from a piece of my decorated fabric. The customer was very pleased with the result, and I must admit I was too!
On the right is an image of the finished bag, above are two images detailing the lining and the front flap.
The bag is made from hand dyed canvas and cotton fabrics.

I have recently come back from a holiday in Spain - I took 675 photos! There was some great inspiration everywhere I looked and have finally selected the photos to begin to work with. With a new sketchbook to work in I'm looking forward to seeing where this takes me.

This is the finished piece that I was working on during the weekend. On the right are two images showing more detail.

A big thank you to everyone who came to our show at the weekend. Although the weather was so hot lots of people came to visit and also sampled my muffins! It was a lovely weekend, so nice to have such a good venue and I met many people, several of whom were very local and I had never met. A big thank you too to the people that bought us drinks. We will be running similar events in the Autumn/Winter also at the River Garden> they proved very good hosts for our sale - thanks Johnnie!!

While in Surrey for the Olympics I took the opportunty to visit EG HQ in Walton On Thames. A great selection of embroideries are on display. I took some photos of those that inspired me. I love the way some hand embroidery can really lift a piece.
I couldn't resist buying a couple of book too!
